Which airlines fly to Roatan?

From the U.S., there is non-stop service on American, Delta and United and with stops on Cayman Airways and Avianca. If you are traveling from mainland Honduras, there are flights to Roatan from San Pedro Sula, La Ceiba and Tegucigalpa.

What documents are needed for entry to Honduras

A valid passport is required for entry in to Honduras and your passport can not expire within 6 months of travel. If you are a national of a country other than the US or Canada, please check with your local Honduran Consulate for information on if a Visa is required for entry (

How do you reach LV?

The hotel is approximately a 20-minute drive from the islands International Airport (RTB). You can set up complimentary hotel van (seats 10) transportation services upon reserving or at least 24 hrs prior to your arrival time and we’ll coordinate your pick up and drop off, please be advised that the hotel van is based on availability and prior transfer coordination is highly recommended as it runs on a schedule, otherwise we can assist in reserving a taxi at your own convenience and cost, we can also assist with rental car service if preferred. What is the easiest way around the island?

The easiest mode of transportation around the island is by rental car or special transportation arrangements that can be coordinated for you by our Guest Services Agents. There are many restaurants and attractions just 5-10 mins away from Las Verandas if you want to venture out and explore. The hotel is also approximately a 35-minute drive to the West End/Bay area where most tourist attraction parks, watersports activities, shopping and additional dining are located.

What currency is accepted in Roatan?

US Dollars and credit cards are widely accepted on the island. The national currency of Honduras is the Lempira and currently the exchange is approximately 24 Lempiras to the dollar. Please keep in mind that most banks charge a fee for using your credit card abroad.

Is there a departure tax when leaving Roatan?

Yes, if you are leaving the country, the International Departure Tax is approx. $45.00 some airlines may or may not include it in your airline ticket please inquire upon checking in at the counter, if it is not, then it is payable at the airport (after check-in) at the bank line prior to going through security to the waiting area.
